I don’t have to say anything but I will because there are a few comments I’d like to make regarding Strawberry Panic. First of all, it did a great job of keeping me interested with hawt girls all around and the possibility of yuri between seemingly ALL of them. Kimino Sakurako and Madhouse certainly know how to keep a guy interested. I just wish the show stopped teasing us with these near kisses and then SOMETHING HAPPENS that ruins the moment.

All of these girls are attractive except just a few of the irrelevant characters. I guess it’s typical anime fare with these attractive female characters, but the best part of it is… NO MEN. Yes, no men have been shown at all, which means there will be no cock-wielding bastard like Ito Makoto causing these women to become violent or some loser like Keitaro that can’t do a damn thing with the girl he likes/loves (whatever).

Perhaps the biggest thing I have a problem with thus far is the fact that they’re at a private all-girls academy that is affiliated with religion (presumably Christianity) yet there is an absurd amount of lesbianism abound, especially with all of Aoi Nagisa’s classmates going crazy over the fact that Nagisa got close to Etoile-sama, whose real name is Hanazano Shizuma. This girl is some sort of revered figure, which is alright considering she represents the three local all-girls schools around. But what besides her looks makes her so win? She doesn’t seem to attend required meetings or do anything that the school council presidents wants her to do. She seems quite the arrogant or selfish one, but I still have 23 episodes to watch before making a final opinion and judgment on this hawt woman that teases my cuteeee Nagisa-chan.

So anyway, back to the religion-gay conflict. Why are these girls all lesbians (or that is how it is presented) when they attend a Christian-based academy? It just shows how much the teachers and headmistress and other faculty completely FAIL at their job. These girls pray, yet they wish to sex each other up. Being a Christian myself, I have issues with watching a lot of anime, and I don’t know which thing I want out of Strawberry Panic. Then again, I’m watching this because there is yuri in it, so might as well go with the “sex each other up.”

Lolz what a player, going for multiple girls like that. I kind of wish she was real, except she did this to guys. And… only me >_>

Here are moar snapshots of them nearly kissing yet another failing. If the entire show is like this, Shuffle! and Kanon (2002) will have a new friend in the “dropped category” of my anime to-watch/watching/completed list.

I’m glad Shizuma doesn’t really exist and have this power to woo over these schoolgirls, because then I would be left with no one. Or I wish was bisexual. Then it’d be fine.

Overall, I’m at least still interested in the show, and the characters are still likable, especially Nagisa, Shizuma, and Lilim student council president, who is quite hawt IMO. KEEP ME WATCHING, MADHOUSE.
