02.20.2008 - true tears Questions and Some Other Stuff - 1
She is the reason I watch true tears. For no other reason I would.

I’m in a good mood so I’ve decided to give Shuffle! and Kanon (2002) another chance. I’ve also decided to start ef - a tale of memories again, so I’m watching nine anime now which is perhaps the most I’ve taken on at once (YES I KNOW SOME OF YOU WATCH ABOUT 1093810 currently airing shows at once - I don’t care).

Not much to say about Clannad since I already covered the latest episode, but Fullmetal Alchemist actually managed to successfully revitalize my interest in it. Some Riza time and a ZOMG WINRY’S NOW ACTUALLY POSSIBLY RELEVANT TO THE PLOT make me happy and I can’t wait to finish this damn, long-ass anime. But some of the details are so obvious; they hint so much at the military’s purpose of attacking Ishbal that it won’t even be surprising when I see it.

ef - a tale of memories and Kanon I haven’t started rewatching, and I only watched one more episode of Okawari which wasn’t all that lulz-inducing. Hope the next eps are better.

Alright, so what I actually did watch are one episode of Shuffle! and two episodes of true tears. First, Shuffle!

I hated Shuffle! because of its characters, fan-service, and… its characters. I didn’t really like any of them, but I found two reasons to continue watching: Asa and a highly likely chance of Sia dying. I understand that many Shuffle! fans hate her or felt that she shouldn’t have been the girl for Rin, but I think she’s great. Why? I’ll write about that in a future post. Of course, I’ve yet to watch the remaining seven episodes, so I can’t make a complete opinion yet. Oh, and Sia? I hope she dies. Even after acknowledging that her behavior in episode 17 was not her fault, she still sickens me with her jerk move of nearly getting Rin into trouble.

true tears… what to say about this? Well, I’ve seen the first two episodes, and there’s not much to say about it. I just have a bunch of questions.

  1. What the fuck is Noe talking about in the beginning of the second episode?
  2. Is the man that Noe hugs in her home her dad?
  3. Why is Noe so damn cute?
  4. Spoil it for me: does Shinwhatever’s friend’s girlfriend like Shinwhatever?
  5. Are they all in middle school or high school?
  6. Is anyone else reminded of Ikari Gendo when Shinwhatever’s dad appears?
  7. What is Shinwhatever’s real name, since I’m too lazy to check?

Oh, and one last note: Get this if you have a MAL account. It’s a desktop app to update your MAL, and it can even detect and update the anime you watch automatically (provided that you are watching anime through Media Player Classic).

  1. I like Shuffle and all..
But they overused the fan-service in the anime..
Everything else is ok I guess…
The characters are not so good though..

    As for True Tears..
    I like it very much…
    The best for the season..
The man that Noe hugged is her brother (Isurugi Jun).
The main lead’s name is Shinichiro…

  2. Noe was cool until ep. 8 then EVERYONE turned stupid.
