I’ve watched eleven shows that have started airing while still waiting for fansub groups to sub a few titles (namely Nabari no Ou, Wagaya no Oinari-sama, Crystal Blaze, RD Sennou Chousashitsu, Kaiba, Toshokan Sensou, and Kamen no Maid Guy) and for a few more to air. I’ve actually enjoyed all most of the shows I’ve watched so far and I’m looking forward to more.
This won’t be an in-depth summary or review of the eleven shows, but more of some quick thoughts and a decision on blogging the series.
Allison & Lillia
Will I blog? Yes.
Surprisingly enough, I didn’t find it boring like some others have said. Although the nose issue bugged me (why does Will have a different nose than everyone else?), I found the animation and artwork attractive and am excited for the next 25 episodes. It was a great introduction, and possibly as expected, I love Allison. She’s funny, full of energy, and pretty; what more could I want in a lead female? Aside from Allison, I think this show has plenty of potential and will prove to be one of the better anime this season in terms of overall quality.
Code Geass - Hangyaku no Lelouch R2
Will I blog? Metareview.
Bah, Sunrise started us with a confusing episode. Apparently Lelouch doesn’t even remember being Zero and leading the Black Knights; luckily for us, we got C.C. ^_^ who I have to say was looking very nice, heh. I really don’t have much to say besides that this episode has me pumped and yearning for the next one.
Itazura na Kiss
Will I blog? Are you kidding me? No.
I can foresee myself hating this show. It’s not that great but it was mildly funny. The animation and artwork were awful in my opinion., but some apparently disagree. The lead male is definitely unlikable and the fat girl was a total eyesore (no offense, but I don’t watch anime for overweight girls. I watch it for loli and bishoujo). I’ll give it a few more episodes… or heck, I’ll probably even finish it, but I probably will not like it.
Kanokon
Will I blog? Yes.
LOL Everyone seems to hate or dislike Kanokon, but I actually liked it. A lot. Maybe it’s because I like the shouta thing. Whatever the reason is, I’ll probably sit through the rest and enjoy it, unlike the rest of you. I’m not expecting ZOMG AWESOME PLOT or anything; it’s a damn ecchi show and enjoy it for that.
Kure-nai
Will I blog? Yes.
The biggest surprise out of this crop is Kure-nai. The OP set my expectations to something rather silly, and then completely overturned it and thrust serious business into my face. The episode also proved to be confusing without revealing much of its real plot, but so far we have a high school student protecting a seven-year-old. And I like it. Not because of the loli, although she is a major factor, but because of the actual story.
Soul Eater
Will I blog? Metareview.
There was action, there was hilarity, and there was a hawt girl. I thought Soul Eater would be a more serious show, but here was another surprise. This was a good thing, however, since I enjoyed it more this way. Since this won’t be a shounen that drags on for over 200 episodes, it’s definitely something to look forward to every week for the next year (damn that seems daunting). Maka-chan is also cute =]
Special A
Will I blog? Metareview.
Like Hung, I cannot resist the girls going “Kyaa~!!!111″ The episode strongly reminded me of Ouran High School Host Club. Both have similar vibes, although Ouran still reigns in the humor department. Special A doesn’t do anything remarkable, but it’s still entertaining nevertheless.
To-LOVE-Ru
Will I blog? HELL NO.
It has one more chance.
The Tower of Druaga: the Aegis of Uruk
Will I blog? Metareview.
What I expected to be fail was actually funny. Packed with RPG cliches, the episode served only to be a setup for the real story. Unfortunately, I have no clue where the show is headed. Let’s hope it’s up.
Vampire Knight
Will I blog? Metareview.
As you might tell, I’m getting sick of writing already >_> Anyway, Vampire Knight didn’t wow me, but I’m rather fond of the character designs. Some moments of it made me facepalm (WHO DIDN’T FORESEE ZERO BEING A VAMPIRE) and the whole KYAAA SENPAI IS SO AWESOME thing seems rather out of place. With a plot like this, I don’t think humor meshes too well. I’ll see how it goes.
Zettai Karen Children
Will I blog? Yes.
SUPER BIG MAGNUM!!!11

Special A might be like Ouran? Awesome. For me, I’m not sure about Soul Eater. From the premise alone, it seems to be a bit like Bleach..?
I’m with you on Allison & Lillia. The show needs more love ;-;
Been seeing a lot of love for Zettai Karen Children… hmmm. Seems Tower went back to being cliche after the joke first episode.
what episode does C.C kiss Leloush? I really want to watch it but i don’t know which one it is!
