School sucks and the summer will suck
School is dragging me down, and although I have not followed my studying schedule as planned, I’m still making progress. In any case, that means that updates will be sparse, at least until June 12.

Once I do start posting again, maybe you can actually expect me to do episode summaries! Oh wait, I have summer classes at my local community college from 7am to 3:30pm. Terrific. Well, I’ll still have more time than I do now… or maybe not, because of homework and possibly a job.

Yay for visitors
Minimum Tempo received its record high of unique visitors (excluding my Brawl posts when MT was loli-pop blog) with the fansub documentary response. Yay for 212 visitors, cake for you.

What’s in store for you?
What to expect from MT in the month of June?

  • Review of BioShock (360)
  • Review of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (360)
  • Review of Mass Effect (360)
  • Review of Aria the Animation
  • Review of Genshiken, Genshiken OVA, and Genshiken II
  • Review of Kure-nai
  • Review of Sky Girls

That’s all I can guarantee. Jeeo has some articles in the works too.

New theme?
I am considering a theme change because of Author’s comments on the site’s navigation; my lack of CSS, PHP, and XHTML experience and knowledge won’t help much with changing any of it. A theme change is, however, unlikely. I changed the site design fairly recently. If Derek Punsalan, the designer of this theme, updates it with more feautres or something, then you can expect a theme upgrade, but beyond that, most likely nothing.

Annotated blogroll…
Seems like annotated blogrolls are the rage these days, so I am considering one too. Given the length of my links page though, I don’t know when I’ll get around to it, if ever.

  1. Ah, 212. That was my record high for over a month…until three days ago when I hit 218. I bought myself nachos to celebrate.

  2. I’ve been a reader of Derek Punsalan’s blog for a long time and this theme has a very accurate title. However, it still has an easy to find search and a detailed archives page, so navigation isn’t difficult, IMHO. Also, for the amount you blog, I think it’s a good match.

  3. Keep the theme, it’s really neat. I can’t really comment on its “efficiency” since I don’t browse through here as often as I should. But yeah, I really dig the picture theme front page thingy.

  4. @Baka-Raptor: Can you buy me some nachos too?

@Caitlin: The archives page (well, at least the one from the top menu) is from a plugin, NOT Derek’s layout, unless you were referring to his monthly archive organization.

I think it’s find, but Author has noted that the Next/Previous buttons are oddly placed (on the sidebar). He also wants a “paged view,” and he finds the front page confusing @_@

@Lelangir: Glad you like it. I wish I could design and code stuff like this.

  5. Be waiting on your review!!!!!
Also on the new layout!!! I like your current one though!!!

  6. Well, I’m the kind of person who really likes unusual blog themes as long as they are nice to navigate with - and I do like the navigation on this theme. But that’s all up to you.

Well then, I’m looking forward to your reviews. And believe me, an annotated blogroll takes an eternity to write, haha.

  7. Yes. But if you’re not around to eat them, I’ll have to eat them for you.

  8. I actually like this theme, which is so unlike the clutter that is mine P:

  9. A Genshiken review you say.

    I’ll be waiting for it.

  10. I started an annotated blogroll too
