Part two of twelve in my part of CCY’s Twelve Moments in Anime 2008 project. These posts are not really in any particular order. The last two moments probably have the most intentional placement. This post also contains spoilers.
After lolikitsune had watched ef – a tale of melodies 06, he proceeded to create the most inappropriate AMV using a song from a song from the Detroit Metal City OVA. I was rather taken aback by the song and its vulgarity, especially when paired with such a scene as Yuuko’s revealing of the abuse she took from Amamiya-sensei. Still slightly intrigued by the song, I found Detroit Metal City on a certain video streaming website (which many people hate).
I fell in love. It was raw, it was humorous, it was fucking RAPE (of my mind). Unlike ef – a tale of memories, I have little to say about this. It’s best left for the viewer to watch it.
The seventh episode was my favorite. The first segment in the episode, in which Negishi (oh sorry, Krauser-san) rapes Tokyo Tower, was one of the genuinely funniest scenes I’ve ever seen in anime. His fans’ reactions, the light-up of Tokyo Tower, and the rain (lol orgasm) were all too perfect. The second segment was just as great, with Krauser-san’s fan punching that little kid out of the way during the performance.

The anime is too short, I want moar!
You know how you can recommend an anime show to friends, only to find you hyped it up so much that they don’t ejoy it as much as you expected them to? DMC #7 was an exception – the whole room was on the floor with laughter at the Toyko Tower rape scene, even though I’d begged them repeatedly to watch it beforehand. Easily a highlight of the series so far.
I also found the face-off with the girl punk bad great – the moment where the venue is burning down but THE DRUMMER KEEPS PLAYING was so freakin’ epic.
