a geek by any other name - The blog is always quick with the latest updates in the anime industry. The author, giapet, can probably be found at large anime conventions tapping away at her keyboard during industry panels.

alafista.com - Amusing news snippets from Japan. Lots of men being arrested and weird anime happenings, the usual. The site also has news on anime, figures, and idols; a good overall source of information.

The Animanachronism - IKnight’s blog is refreshing; amidst the hordes of blog posts on specific episodes, The Animanachronism’s articles have much more analysis and commentary than other posts. So even though I don’t understand much of what he discusses, it’s a worthwhile read. You know, if you can understand the stuff.

Anime Blog ga Arimasu - My favorite episodic blog in the anime blogosphere. What more needs to be said? In addition to the detailed summaries, there is always funny commentary and captions.

アニ・ノート - Although he snipes at people and posts his thoughts on other blog posts on his blog all the time, he doesn’t allow comments himself. No matter, Ani-nouto is a worthwhile read.

Are-are - Unfortunately for me, the head author thinks I’m a football. When Nagato isn’t punting me, she and her team of bloggers publish episodic reviews. Nagato herself hasn’t posted in a while; I should go scold her for it.

Atarashii Prelude - Shin is a Ranka-obsessed bastard. At least he’s funny, you know? blissmo describes as being “one of the dirtiest perverted muskeeters,” whatever that means. Apparently he loves porn (once again, according to blissmo). I like the guy, so I won’t hold it against him.

Baka-Raptor - This dinosaur rejected my application to upsuck for him at Otakon 2008. Even though he did that, I cannot lie and say that he isn’t hilarious. His Talk-a-Raptor series is worth a watch, although you’ll be disappointed if you expect to see a real dinosaur.

Borderline Hikikomori - Team blog headed by a hyper female otaku. I asked her, CJBlackwing, if I could write for BH… but I haven’t contributed to anything yet with the exception of their summer 2008 preview post. I should go work on a review or summary for them…

caitlinomara - Attractive blog with posts on anime, Japanese culture, food, and web design. It’s run by Caitlin who currently lives in the Holy Land, although she’ll be returning to the United States of Japan America next year.

Ex-Fansubber ひとり言 - When Hinano isn’t raging about anti-fansubbers and stupid weeaboos, she writes amusing reviews on anime episodes & J-drama episodes. She also made a visual novel; go check out Ren’Ai Blogger since it features a few anime bloggers (including Impzie of THAT Animeblog).

Furu Anime Panikku - FアP (lol, FAP) is actually one of my favorite blogs. double updates frequently with posts on Evangelion, anime in relation to life, and Japan (although he doesn’t exactly live there…). I’m especially jealous of his room; I’d really like to have all the stuff in it.

Happy Soda - Pictures and reviews of delicious figures galore! super rats also discusses anime like the rest of us. Of course, we all go there for his pictures of figures because they’re so damn good.

hashihime 橋姫 - Probably the best blogger here because the author loves Hirano Aya more than me. My source for Hirano Aya updates because well, there is nothing more important than Aya. Oh, it’s a seiyuu blog, by the way. But this is also the best source (that I know of) for Aya news.

Heterochromia - Sasa’s team blog that seems like it’s done. Although she’s gone from anime blogging and her writers aren’t posting much, Heterochromia has a good archive of articles worth reading.

Hop Step Jump! - Voted Best Editorial Blog and Most Thought-Provoking Blog by readers, Hop Step Jump! has content that makes me think and ponder; for me, it’s like the Aria of anime blogs. Maybe it’s because the author, Jeff Lawson, likes Aria so much.

Lelangiric - Just like IKnight, lelangir throws his intellectual babble into the anime blogosphere, complete with footnotes for every post. However, I do not consider him very smart since he prefers Hiromi over Noe, a choice only fools would make.

OGIUE MANIAX - Obvious from the title alone that the author is a fan of Ogiue from Genshiken. The blog isn’t all about her though; the author offers a great deal of anime analysis and commentary , and the posts never fail to entertain me.

Serial Experiments notdotq - Expects lots of trolling and graphs as you navigate notdotq. Heck, he rarely blogs about anime anyway (at least, until recently); he’s an anime blogger blogger. Nevertheless, if you understand the jokes and such, it’ll make for a very entertaining read. I suggest you start from the very first of his posts.

Shameful Otaku Secret! - otou-san is supposedly older than most of us, so I guess I kind of look at him as a senpai. He seems adept at graphic and web design. He posts about anime (who here doesn’t) when he’s procrastinating (where’s the Yukan! Blog podcast, yo?!).

Subculture Anime Blog - Blogs about episodes he does. More importantly, I can destroy him in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Of course, I haven’t played in a while and I don’t think he has either, but I could still pwn him just like I always have. I think.

THAT Animeblog - I would consider THAT the mega-team episodic blog. It has a very solid staff of writers, each with his or her unique writing style and specialization. The content is diverse and sprinkled with lulz; strongly recommended.

Yukan Blog! - blissmo’s army clusterfuck team of bloggers enlighten their visitors with anime summaries and reviews when blissmo isn’t killing bunnies in her comic.
